 "Absolute trash" 2008-07-27
By Max (San Francisco, CA)
I bought both the brush and the replacement bristles at the same time, since I had purchased another BBQ piece from these people and thought it was good quality (we gave it as a gift...but it looked high quality). This brush is a joke. I used it once...I mean, literally, I brushed it across my Weber Genesis and the bristles started coming out. I would say about 25% of the bristles came out after continuing for another 5 seconds. The grill was very hot...so maybe that softened the plastic that holds the bristles, or maybe it loosened the glue that they used on the bristles. I'm not really sure what it was, but I returned this lousy piece of junk and I won't ever purchase anything from this company again. Seeing their products in stores now, I can see why they have done well. Good packaging, and modern design and materials give it a high quality impression. I returned everything, the brushes, the replacement brushes, and even two other products from them.

So now, I am left without any brush. Basically, I can buy the cheapy ones that get nasty after a while and I have to throw away, or I can continue to use my tongs or a spatula edge to scrape of the debris. Maybe that is the right way to address grill debris anyway...a brush will always wear out.

I took pictures of it, I will attach to the review later.

"Handy and Helpful Grilling Tools" 2009-03-16
By Sound sleeper (Seattle, WA)
This tool set is a grilling accessory you'll be proud to have, and not just cause it looks nice. I got the set for my birthday, when my wife noticed that the grill tools I was using were a messy collection of mismatched pieces, and I think she did a great job picking these out. The spatula and tongs move things around well (and the spatula can be used for flipping well, if you're getting adventuresome at the grill), and the fork is great for testing doneness and keeping people from messing around with your grill (kidding). I like the size of these as well, as they have enough reach to keep you from having to hang all over the grill. Oh, and the handles are comfortable, with a bit of a soft grip on them. But it's good to remember that the handles are probably too big for those with smaller hands--these are overall good-sized tools, sturdy, and hefty without being too heavy. Now, I just can't wait for more good-grilling days to use them more.

"Love this long blade spatula" 2009-12-29
By Elizabeth McGarry (Orange county, CA)
This spatula is exactly the one I have been looking for. Its long blade and short handle is great for turning the Austrian long strudel,or fish. Most of the long spatulas have long handle and shorter blade. This one is heavy duty and controlled flexible blade (not the flimsy flexible kind) makes it real nice to handle delicate pastry.

"Just a little longer than I thought" 2009-03-23
By K. Carlson (Linden, Va .United States)

This is a beautiful tool for cooking, it was just a few inches longer than I was ready for.

It will be hard to use in any pan smaller then 10".

But it is very well made and fits well in the hand.

The flip area is a good 8"long with a 6 or 7" handle.

good cooking!!

 "Big, Bold Spatula" 2008-10-04
By R. Plouffe (Boston, MA USA)
Outset QT12 Stella Stainless Steel Flexible Griddle Spatula For years I have been looking for spatula with a long blade, to use while grilling. Most grill spatulas have long handles, but small or average sized blades. With a 10.5" blade, this spatula rocks! It is perfect for fliping fish, grilled pizza dough, or 2-3 burgers at a time.

"very well made and substancial" 2009-03-24
By Galagan (NY, NY, USA)
You will never regret you spent money on this one! It will serve you for ever and take any abuse from flame cooking you can think of. I had a bad experience with BBQ utensils made with plastic and wood handles: they crack, melt, break off. I switched to utensils made entirely of metal: my boys are very tough on utensils when cooking in the backyard. The size of this spatula is huge, you will use it to flip fish, large stakes or even 2 burgers at a time, the handle is also long enough to keep your hands away from the mess and fire.

"21" Tongs keep out of the HEAT" 2009-10-18
By J. Gelfand (Dallas, TX)
These Outset 21" tongs are made extremely well out of stainless steel, and keep your hands out of the heat. I would not subject the nice rosewood handles to dishwashers. The locking mechanism is one handed, so they lock and unlock by holding them upside down, etc.

I give these 5 stars.

 "great bbq tongs" 2009-09-15
By G. Varelli
I already have these in the shorter version, so I knew I would like them. I wanted the longer pair for cooking on the grill. These are perfect.

 "great reach" 2009-07-20
By jimmy c (nj)
Brought these for the BBQ and I am very pleased with them. They grip the food well and keep my hands away from the heat. Well worth the money.

 "Quality tongs" 2009-04-28
By Fifi (San Francisco, CA USA)
These are great tongs. They're made of stainless steel, and they have soft grip handles. They're very sturdy. The locking/unlocking feature works great. And the long handle (17 inches) make these tongs very useful.

 "Related to OXO?" 2008-09-08
By M Twain (Louisville, KY)
These things are constructed so closely with OXO tongs they have to be made by the same plant. The only things that distinguish these from OXO good grips tongs are:

1. An embossed logo by the handle

2. A larger ring at the end of the lock

3. Lock is a bit tighter, but that may be due to my OXO tongs being several years old

The similarities with OXO are:

1. The exact same size and scalloped shape of the gripping end

2. The exact same shaft dimensions

3. The exact same handle material

4. Handle design so exact that the rubber grips are interchangeable

5. The hinge design, down the the internal spring and lock are visibly identical

If there is any doubt remaining, the product image is actually of OXO tongs, these tongs have a larger end loop on the lock with a copper ring attached.

"Great tongs for the grill!" 2008-07-18
By Speed110 (Hershey, PA)
I ordered these tongs because every other one I purchased from a store was basically worthless. These tongs are sturdy, long, and have a great grip!
