 "Great Rubber Scraper!" 2010-03-12
By Jared Orth (PGH, PA)
For the money, this is a fantastic spatula. The handle feels good in the hand, with the rounded end. The silicon head is rather slick, so food comes off of it easily. Best of all, the heads don't stain!

Some people have taken stars away because of the unfinished handle. The handle is just like any other rubber/silicon spatula I have had. You won't want to let it soak in the dish pan, but other than that, I think it will stand the test of time.

 "Unfinished, Rough Wood Handle" 2010-01-31
By S. Thomas
The wooden handle is rough, as if it weren't sanded enough to obtain a smooth finish. There is also no varnish on the handle so it is very rough in your hand. The handle arrived cracked at the end where the hole is located. I will not order these again.

 "The Best Spatula Ever!" 2009-02-14
By System Builder (Marlborough, MA, USA)
I had been looking for years for a spatula replacement for my old Rubbermaid with wood handle. I am delighted with the quality of this spatula! The handle shape is excellent for getting a good grip (I do have some mild arthritis and this makes it easier to hold and use effectively). I especially love the fact the wood handle won't slip out of the head easily (most of the plastic handle spatulas slip out of the head after a week or two of use). I hate fishing for the spatula head in a batter. I won't have this problem with this spatula! The head is better than most of the silicone spatulas. It will scrape the sides of mixing bowls even with heavy doughs. You can't do that with most silicone spatulas. The temperature rating for this is also quite high and is molded into the spatula head (260C/500F). I have ordered several more. I highly recommend this.

 "Perfect Spatula" 2009-09-22
By Kristi in Rochester (Rochester, NY United States)
It's getting hard to find a decent spatula at the grocery store, one that has a smooth head for scraping out a bowl, and a nice strong handle. This is it! I own two of these spatulas - one in white, one in blue - and they are fantastic.

The manufacturer asks you to remove the head for the dishwasher, which is a bit of an annoyance, but the spatulas are still going strong after hard kitchen use. I oil the handles when I do my chopping blocks, so they really look nice.

For about $4, I don't think you'll find anything better - and I haven't been impressed by any of the $12 spatulas.

"ok, too big and bulky" 2009-06-15
By mary rutens (oh)
I wish it would have been thinner, the bottom is too thick to get under cookies, OK for cheesecakes.

"Not flimsy, very sturdy, nice wooden handle" 2009-02-08
By G. Stihler
I bought this to scoop out my enchiladas. It holds 3 to 4 at one time. It is as large as it looks. I use for cooking out too, holds alot of stuff when it all gets done fast. Great for serving up roasts and meatloaf from your bakeware to serving plate. I searched for this on Foodnetwork when I saw Paula Dean using it to scoop out a dish she made. It was $3 more and not in stock.

 "TOO HEAVY!!!" 2008-11-09
By D. Mountenay (Wayne, NJ United States)
When I saw this I thought it would be great to get those Christmas cookies off the tray quickly. It is soooo heavy I can't use it. I have offered it to my baking friends but as soon as the pick it up they don't want it. The blade could be so much thinner. Great idea, bad construction.

"Very well made and heavy duty" 2008-11-01
By luvdolls
Wow, this Jumbo cookie shovel is perfect for those large cookies or several small ones at one time, lifting pancakes or even pizzas. Love it!!

 "Does the Job Well" 2008-08-29
By Eric B. Simms (USA)
Better than the typical spatula for lifting cookies thanks to its thinner front edge, and it's strong enough to help support multi-layered cakes. It's a good, sturdy product.

 "Incredible Value!" 2009-04-13
By Dakota Lynx (usa)
This and all Norpro products are of industrial quality. I buy nothing else when ever the option is available. Been a fan of Norpro for more years than I can count. It is one of the few companies that have continued to put out a quality product despite the changes in technology and economy. Thanks again for another one!

 "It's a scraper.." 2009-11-12
By sjc (Ohio)
This is a good scraper. The head removes very easily. This is great if you want to put the blue piece in your dishwasher. If you prefer to hand wash or use on real thick batter, the easy removal can be a pain.

 "Norpro Spatula" 2009-09-12
By Vickie L. Sloss (New Jersey USA)
Very useful spatula, I use it all the time to clean out bowls and jars. The silicone spatulas are much better that the old style.

 "Silicone spatula" 2009-05-22
By Clinton C. Wigen
This is an excellent spatula, I am considering buying more as gifts for my friends. So much better than those one finds in local grocery stores, or big-box stores. Great item, I recommend this with gusto! I'm only a home cook, but this is almost chef quality, I would think good enough for the pros.

 "Nice quality spatula" 2009-02-15
By M. Stewart (Texas, USA)
The wooden handle is quite well-made, and comfortable to grip. The removable silicone head is a good, tight fit, so no worry about it slipping off, until you intend to slip it off to run through the dishwasher.
