I have been using this "turner" (but I call it a spatula) since I got it (only one month ago but I use it a lot). I scrape the pan and throw it in the dishwasher. It's holding up great. Solid enough that it does not bend but just enough flex that it'll give when you need it to. It's the perfect size for a large pan. I expect it to last a long time.

I've had this spatula for about six months and I really like it. It looks a little weird compared to most silicone spatulas, but its eccentricities are all practical improvements. It's a superior design.



The narrowness of the blades on each side of the handle lets the blades be thinner than any other silicone scraper spatula I've seen. The edge tapers down to less than 1 mm thick. Compare that, just to take one example, to the Orka All-Purpose Silicone Slim Spatula, Black, which has a squared-off blade 3 mm thick. That makes the blade edges on the ISI Basics spatula very flexible, so that the spatula can fit easily inside one of those small 2-inch-diameter tomato paste cans and scrape the walls clean much better than competitive products. One blade is longer than the other. I use the longer blade for most srcaping and the shorter one for tight places. Both work well.



Like any silicone spatula this one is heat-resistant and its surface is very easy to clean.



Highly recommended.

Making chewy cookies requires removing them from the cookie sheet while they are on the gooey side. A non-stick spatula is too thick for this purpose resulting in sticking and scrunching the cookies out of shape. This very thin spatula does a super job of getting the soft cookies off the cookie sheet in perfect condition.



The size of the spatula (2 7/8" at the bottom, 3 1/2" at the top and 4 3/4" long) is perfect for supporting the cookies while moving them from the cookie sheet to the cooling rack. The directions that came with the spatula indicate that it is dishwasher safe and that the stainless steel is specially treated so it retains strength while being quite thin.

I was so pleased to find the Rubbermaid Spoonula on Amazon. All our local stores carry only the new heat-resistant Silicone variety which are way too stiff to really clean the batter or whipped cream from a mixing bowl or get all the mayo out of the jar! The Black Onyx color is gorgeous. It is rich and glossy, not dull. This is a beautiful utensil in my growing collection of Le Creuset Black Onyx.



The bamboo handle feels just right in the hand. The handle is generously sized at 7 3/4 inches.



Note: The spatula head does not look as pictured in the Amazon photo. It is 2 3/4" long by 1 3/8" wide. The silicone is safe up to 800 degrees Farenheit. The head is permanently attached. (Some Le Creuset silicone utensils have detachable heads for cleaning.)



Perfect for scooping out margarine to use in a skillet, stirring sauteed vegetables, or spreading a dab of mayonnaise. It is a versatile size I would not want to be without.



If you like this one, I suggest the Le Creuset Pasta Fork in Black Onyx.



NOTE: If you are looking for a less expensive spatula set, one with plastic handles, consider the Wilton Easy Flex Silicone Spatula 3 Piece Set. It was not for me, because the handles felt too small and it is not as eco-friendly, but it may be right for you.



I first became interested in the Le Creuset silicone utensils after I purchased the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-piece Cookware Set. The makers of this cookware recommend wooden or silicone utensils, not metal ones. I have been thrilled with these utensils as they absolutely will not scratch.

Like other have mentioned, this slotted spatula is excellent in that it is all one piece silicone and is easy to clean, however, it is very flexible; almost shockingly so. I cannot, for the life of me, think of a reason why a spatula need be so flexible. The last thing is that the edge of the spade is rather thick. It's not really good at all for turning delicate foods or getting underneath crab cakes and the like...Unfortunate.

I like silicone a lot and this orange color is great, but this turner is a bit too flexible. Maybe the flexibility is a necessary consequence of a turner made of silicone, but I find myself putting the silicone turner aside and reaching for a nylon turner quite often. Don't get me wrong, the turner is still quite sturdy and I never have to worry about non-stick surfaces. In addition, many of the silicone products I have used have been extremely durable and I imagine this turner will last for years without chipping and flaking and melting like nylon turners. For me though, the high edge and "bendiness" of the turner prevents it from being as useful as nylon in a variety of instances.

Love the orange! Go Beavers! Works good on cookies and pancakes. It would be perfect if the lip was a little more flat. The high edge does push the food around before picking it up sometimes. That is my only complaint. This is my first silicone turner and I will most likely get another when the time comes.

I'd had enough of the plastic/nylon turners melting at the end... and of the plastic/nylon spoons ending up with melty notches in the handle from laying against the side of a pot. So I purged the kitchen of all of the inferior, damaged plastic and nylon stuff and replaced it with Orka silicone stuff. It rocks. Nothing has gotten stained or at all melted, and I love all of the happy colors (I ordered all different colors).

It's the perfect size for scraping the sides of a KitchenAid mixing bowl.
