Orka Silicone Slotted Turner, Orange
Like other have mentioned, this slotted spatula is excellent in that it is all one piece silicone and is easy to clean, however, it is very flexible; almost shockingly so. I cannot, for the life of me, think of a reason why a spatula need be so flexible. The last thing is that the edge of the spade is rather thick. It's not really good at all for turning delicate foods or getting underneath crab cakes and the like...Unfortunate.

I like silicone a lot and this orange color is great, but this turner is a bit too flexible. Maybe the flexibility is a necessary consequence of a turner made of silicone, but I find myself putting the silicone turner aside and reaching for a nylon turner quite often. Don't get me wrong, the turner is still quite sturdy and I never have to worry about non-stick surfaces. In addition, many of the silicone products I have used have been extremely durable and I imagine this turner will last for years without chipping and flaking and melting like nylon turners. For me though, the high edge and "bendiness" of the turner prevents it from being as useful as nylon in a variety of instances.

Love the orange! Go Beavers! Works good on cookies and pancakes. It would be perfect if the lip was a little more flat. The high edge does push the food around before picking it up sometimes. That is my only complaint. This is my first silicone turner and I will most likely get another when the time comes.

I'd had enough of the plastic/nylon turners melting at the end... and of the plastic/nylon spoons ending up with melty notches in the handle from laying against the side of a pot. So I purged the kitchen of all of the inferior, damaged plastic and nylon stuff and replaced it with Orka silicone stuff. It rocks. Nothing has gotten stained or at all melted, and I love all of the happy colors (I ordered all different colors).
