This iSi Silicone Standing Baster with Brush has a removable brush which allows for multi functions: as a traditional bulb baster, and as a basting brush that holds a reservoir of basting liquid. The bulb, tube and brush come apart easily for cleaning in the dishwasher or under the tap. The translucent bulb holds 1/2 cup of liquid and has measuring marks on the inside. The unique brush design has an interior tube that allows juices to be drawn into the bulb with the brush in place. This baster stands upright to prevent spills and to facilitate fat seperation from lean juices.

I have now owned this item for about six months.. I do not use a baster very often, usually around the holidays for turkey, etc. I had the occasion to use this this week doing a turkey.. this was a good buy that I got for basically free as it was a "4 for 3 special"..
I have owned a number of basters over the years, and they were fine except they often dripped and made messes as you moved back and forth to the dish you were doing.. AND.. and this is the part that annoyed me.. the bulb aged, cracked, and leaked over time..
This unit SOLVES THOSE PROBLEMS!!
I'll enumerate the real pluses for this unit
* The silicon bulb is a GREAT INSULATOR.. it doesn't get hot in the hottest drippings
* It was ABSOLUTELY NON-DRIP!! Even while not maintaining suction while moving from the pan to the shelf, etc.. not a drip...
* The flat base!! It's so simple, it's brilliant!! Just plop right on its base on the stove.. it is quite stable and doesn't dribble or leak onto the stove or shelf.. this was just a wonderful feature.
* The "brush" that is built-in works great.. I thought it would be stiff and not very good.. it worked GREAT! .. it guided and smoothed the drippings over the turkey just as effectively as natural bristle and was MUCH easier to clean
* Easy to CLEAN.. comes apart and doesn't hold oils as brisles do... I don't use a dishwasher anymore now the family is out of the house, but I expect it would be dishwasher-safe as well
* The "BUILT-IN" bristle is not in the way.. It happily slurps drippings right from the bottom of the pan.. the "bristles" don't interfere with getting the last drops. The fact that it is not detachable means no added parts to keep up with
The only issue I thought would be a negative.. it looked too short. however this was not an issue at all ...
Only concern I have is that the "clear" part seems to be made of some kind of acrylic.. I examined it closely and it seems very sturdy and stable, but in the past I've not had good luck over time with these plastics, but I can find no sign so far that it has any problems.. if I get any, I'll update my review
So all-in-all.. a great product.. I definitely recommend it.. those who know me know I am VERY STINGY with my 5 star ratings, but this one gets it.. buy with confidence

A Bargain Buy and worthy of kitchen duty. The bulb sucks up the Baste, gravy, juice, sauce etc. And redistributes them where you need them effortlessly. Easy clean it breaks up into 3 pieces. This works. I'm thinking of melting butter for some fresh Corn! Good Buy!
