The iSi Basics Silicone Slim Spatula description is 11"x1"x1". The blade width = 1 7/8", just slightly over 1.5". Length is just shy of 11"; actually = 10 7/8". Where is the other 1" measurement? Not as described. The spatula has a nice feel and seems sturdy. If you need a narrow blade to fit a very narrow jar, this is not the one to get. I am returning it, and looking for a narrow blade, if one exists.

This is a great spatula. It is very sturdy and fits very well in soup cans so you can get everything out especially the cream soups.

Nothing beats iSi Basics Silicone Slim Spatula. I replaced all of my kitchen utensils with iSi Basics and love all of them but this spatula is my favorite. I don't have a lot of kitchen gadgets nor would I consider myself a great chef. I have little time and would like to get out of the kitchen ASAP. What I do have has to work well and clean up easily. I recommend this for anyone.

This summer I bought several Rubbermaid silicone spatulas & silicone spoon spatulas. I was disappointed they didn't have the half-spatulas, (jar scrapers, spreaders) in silicone. I recently added a variety of silicone spreaders and spatulas to a larger order of other items, (free shipping on all).
I can't say enough about silicone utensils - great for cooking, great for scraping and clean up easily. I soak my silverware before they go into the dishwasher. I added a second large yogurt container of soapy water for the silicone and rubber spatulas, etc.
Unless the food is oily, (mayo) or sticky, (peanut butter), I just rinse with hot water after a short soak.
Each type has it's own specific use, so one of each, at least, two if you can afford it. If you have to pick just one, get a jar scraper. If budget is two, add a spoon spatula.
In the long run, they will pay for themselves: silicone makes it possible to get 99.9% of food from a container. I have some brand-new rubber spatulas, it's hard to get a container or bowl as clean. The silicone glides, the rubber jerks across the surface.
iSi has a knife-like edge, is very flexible at outside 1/4" edge. Good balnce of stiffness and edge flex.. All one-piece design equals no hidey holes for gunk. One side edge is longer then other, plus all four corners of blade are different shape. This is a well designed and thought out tool.
Perfect for all around. This spatula puts all of the best features together in one fine kitchen tool, NOT just a utensil. Isi is Austrian born and shows it.
If I had to buy only one, this would be the BEST. Add a spoon spatula and you'll have all you need! (But you'll want more)
After buying and testing the assortment, (OXO, Xyliss, Orka, Rubbermaid, iSi and Kitchenmate), if I could start over, I get 3-4 iSi, 3-4 Rubbermaid spoon spatulas & 2-3 Orkas and never need spatulas, again.
